Your Diet Is Your Life: Look at Your Daily Inputs
Originally shared March 20, 2025 in the Naked Sunday Newsletter. Adapted for the journal.

Most people think diet is about food—what you eat, what you cut out, what you track. I like to think about diet as a way of life.
Your diet is everything you consume. The food you eat, yes—but also the conversations you engage in, the content you scroll through, the relationships you invest in, the beliefs you reinforce, the habits you follow, and even the work you do.
Look at your daily inputs. Are they fueling your growth or draining your energy? Are they aligning with your purpose or pulling you further from it?
This is something I talk about all the time with my clients—high achievers, business owners, leaders who want more out of life but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or misaligned. They’re pushing harder, grinding more, hoping it will get them to the next level. But the problem isn’t effort. It’s intake.
If you’re constantly consuming stress, negativity, and self-doubt, it doesn’t matter how hard you work—you’re feeding a cycle that keeps you stuck.
The way you value yourself is part of your diet too. Are you choosing to be around people who drain you? Saying yes when you should say no? Undervaluing your time and energy?
If you’re not intentional about what you consume, you’ll stay in a loop of exhaustion and frustration. But when you start feeding yourself with clarity, alignment, and purpose—your life changes.
So here’s your challenge: Take inventory.
What’s shaping your reality?
What are you consuming that no longer serves you?
Because your life reflects your daily diet.
Change what you consume, and you change what you become.
